Sometimes I think I owe such sanity as I have left to the animals.
Other times I wonder whether they actually make things worse.
Such lack of complication. Such love of the sun.
Of course they fight a lot of the time too. Like, yes. Them.

Hmmm, I wonder why they don’t call it “cat & dog mind” rather than “monkey-mind,” ’cause as I look at this peaceful picture & then realize that sometimes these creatures are literally at one another’s throats…well, isn’t that a perfect picture of how our minds are, peaceful one moment & then divided and screetching the next.
(Okay, maybe only my mind is like that. But still…)
Wow, that weakens my resistance to animal cuteness. Wonderful.
Oh. We need more of that.

A friend of mine has a cat named No Name. It started as a joke between her and her son, who couldn’t think of a name for her, and it just stuck.
A wonderful and miraculous image / act of love and trust. How heart warming!
